Paris, the textile workshop district. Christmas is drawing near, and Vahé Krikorian's life is falling apart. He works in a shop that belongs to his father, but it is soon to close down - too many debts and unpaid bills. Lu Ann, the woman he loves, has walked out on him. And he knows that the three-card trick con that he does with Sahak and Sahak's brother, Toros, will not get him very far. Yuen, Lu Ann's brother, comes to France as an illegal immigrant but refuses to work for the network that got him into the country without realising how dangerous this might be. Vahé takes to him and decides to help him. Little by little a bond is forged between the two men - Vahé's loyalty to his old pals is put to the test and he turns against his own gang. Even though life seems to be back to normal something in Vahé has snapped. Something beyond his control. Beyond repair...
